Davey

Davey is officially an Eagle Scout today. He had his board of review and passed. It will be a couple of months until the council signs off on it and we get the actual award but the date of the board of review is the date of becoming an eagle. I have put on a couple of pictures of his project. He redid the tables and benches at Santa Clara Elementary.

This is a picture of after he was done bolting the sealed redwood boards to the supports he painted.

Here is what the old supports and pine boards looked like before demolition and reconditioning.

Davey also went on his first official date. He has of course been "hanging out" with friends that include girls and we have been trying to make the line a little brighter for him between that and dating. But this was his first official date as Rachel Powell asked him to preference before his 16th birthday. However, the dance was after his birthday so he was able to say yes.

Tomorrow (Monday) he and I are going to the Drivers License Office so he can get his drivers license (this was subject to him finishing his eagle so that is why he hasn't gotten it until now).

After that we are driving to Salt Lake as he has interview at the Salt Lake FBI Field Office. He applied to the FBI Youth Leadership Academy and made it past the application portion and was invited for this interview. They are sending only two teens from Utah, a boy and girl, back to Quantico and he is hoping to be the boy they send.
